2023 Okinawa OKHI-90: Price, Powertrain, Dimensions, Ground Clearance, And Suspension
The 2023 OKHI-90 model retains its competitive price at Rs 1.86 lakh (ex-showroom), similar to its predecessor. Okinawa introduces a new battery pack to ensure compliance with the AIS-156 Amendment 3. This battery pack provides a range of 160km on a single charge, and it takes 4-5 hours for a complete recharge. The upgraded motor incorporates a new encoder, enhancing driving quality and thermal stability. Okinawa plans to gradually implement these improvements across its entire product range, thanks to its collaboration with Italian partner Tacita.
The OKHI-90 comes with hydraulic telescopic suspensions at the front and a dual-tube double-shocker setup at the rear, ensuring efficient suspension performance. Despite the battery's weight, it maintains an impressive ground clearance of 175mm, surpassing Activa's 171mm unladen and 153mm with two passengers. Its user-friendly design retains a wide, longer seat positioned 803mm above the ground, while the wheelbase has been extended to 1520mm. With dimensions of 2220mm in length, 710mm in width, and 1160mm in height, the OKHI-90 stands larger than most scooters commonly found in India.

2023 Okinawa OKHI-90 Electric Scooter: Upgraded Features
The OKHI-90 boasts an upgraded encoder-based motor for precise positioning and enhanced ride quality. With a coloured digital speedometer featuring built-in navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, call and notification alerts, time display, and music notifications, it offers a seamless and connected journey. Stay connected through the mobile app for real-time monitoring of battery SOC, speed, and convenient on/off notifications. Safety is ensured with a micro-charger and an E-ABS system, providing reliable and secure rides.
Company's Statement
The company's official statement reveals over 10,000 unit bookings for the OKHI-90 within its first month of launch. Additionally, the company has announced that deliveries of the all-new OKHI-90, equipped with the AIS-156 Amendment Three battery pack, will commence in September 2023.
