Let's get into the details of the race motorcycle for a bit. The Honda NSF 250R's chassis is made completely out of aluminium, while the powertrain is a 249cc, single-cylinder unit, producing 47bhp and 28Nm of torque. These bikes are capable of breaching the 200kmph figure.
As for the fuel and tyres, the bikes run on aviation gasoline, and they make use of MRF GP Slick Tyres. What makes things even more interesting is that the bikes weigh just 84kg, so you can just imagine the kind of power-to-weight ratio!

Day 1
Humidity conditions were normal in Chennai. However, unlike most days, the sun wasn't directly beating down on us, which kept movement from the pits to the start line a calm and collected affair.
The fifth round of the championship consisted of twelve racers on the grid, including two female racers; Jagathishree Kumaresan and Rakshita S Dave. Day 1 began with a six-lap race, which saw Mohsin Paramban clinch yet another victory with a time of 11:22.331, while recording a best lap time of 1:51.977.
Paramban was followed by Siddhesh Sawant, who was giving him some intense competition. Sawant secured second position in the race, with a time of 11:22.425, with a best lap time of 1:51.980. Savion Sabu came in third at 11:22.568, while keeping hot on the tails of the other two riders with a best lap time of 1:51.671.

Day 2
On the second day, however, the sun was back to what it does best; keeping things hot. Unlike the earlier races so far, the final race consisted of eight laps.
The final race also began with Mohsin Paramban launching hard and fast. However, it seemed like today just wasn't meant to be, with his motorcycle facing a mechanical issue which caused him to slow down quite a bit. This opened up an opportunity for Savion Sabu, who accelerated quickly and grabbed it.
It wasn't long before we saw Sabu celebrating, with his arms crossed while the bike continued to fly past us. Securing his maiden win in the championship, Sabu finished with a total time of 15:03.809, with a best lap time of 1:51.260; an improvement from the first race.
Paramban continued to stay determined and pushed hard to secure second position, with a time of 15:10.876, with a best lap time of 1:52.171. However, having won seven out of ten races this year, Paramban ended up winning the championship trophy.
Claiming the third position was Beedani Rajender with a total time of 15:17.258, and a best lap time of 1:52.654.
