2024 Triumph Daytona 660: What's In The Store?

Triumph's latest creation, the Daytona 660, showcases a sleek design featuring split LED headlights crowned by a transparent visor. The front view strikes a balance between fierce sports aesthetics and a practical wind-deflecting screen. Despite the sporty appearance, the rider's posture is a bit more laid-back, thanks to the tall clip-on handles. Adding to its distinctive features, the Daytona 660 sports an underbelly exhaust. When viewed from the side, you might notice a striking resemblance to the Honda CBR.

The handlebars of the Daytona 660 measure 736 mm in width, while the height without mirrors is 1145.2 mm. The seat height is 810 mm, and the wheelbase spans 1425.6 mm. With a rake of 23.8 degrees and a trail of 82.3 mm, this motorcycle has a tank capacity of 14 litres. The wet weight is 201 kg.

This Daytona 660cc bike is built with a high-performance liquid-cooled, inline 3-cylinder engine, featuring 12 valves and DOHC with a 2400 firing order. Its engine specifications include a bore of 74.04 mm and a stroke of 51.1 mm. At its peak, it delivers an impressive 70 kW (95PS) of power at 11,250 rpm, along with a maximum torque of 69 Nm at 8,250 rpm.

Fueling the Beast is a sophisticated multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection system with electronic throttle control. The exhaust system is crafted from stainless steel, sporting a 3-1 header design that connects to a sleek single-sided stainless steel silencer. The bike's drivetrain utilizes an X-ring chain for the final drive, while the clutch system is a wet, multi-plate design with slip and assist features. Shifting gears is a breeze with the smooth 6-speed gearbox.

With twin 310mm floating discs and 4-piston radial calipers in the front, and a single 220mm fixed disc with a single-piston sliding caliper in the rear, both equipped with ABS, you're in for a secure and controlled stopping experience.

On the technology front, the Daytona features all-LED lighting and a multi-function instrument panel with a colourful TFT screen. The TFT screen is not just a display; it's also compatible with Triumph's Connectivity System. This allows for turn-by-turn navigation, phone connectivity, and music interaction, all seamlessly integrated and easily controlled through the switchgear, ensuring convenience while riding.

The bike's service interval is set at 16,000 km (10,000 miles) or 12 months, whichever comes first. This is a testament to the reliability and durability of the Daytona, giving riders peace of mind and fewer trips to the service centre.
