2025 Honda Shine 100 Details

The 2025 Shine 100 carries over the same commuter design that makes it recognizable on the road. It comes with the familiar bikini and the slim, sleek proportions. In this upgrade, the Shine 100 lets go of the dual-tone black with gold paint scheme and instead it gets a new black with orange paint scheme, thus adding the colour options to five, from the existing four. The graphics have also been given a slight tweak.
Underneath the familiar looks, the Shine 100 retains the same mechanical setup. The 98.98cc, single-cylinder powertrain is now OBD2B-compliant and runs cleaner than before. It is paired to a four-speed gearbox, producing 7.2bhp at 7500rpm and 8.05Nm of torque at 5000rpm. The diamond frame relies on conventional telescopic forks and twin gas-charged shocks, and the braking setup also continues to be drum units on both ends.

Unlike the other OBD2B-compliant models in Honda's lineup, the Shine 100 does not boast of many features, but it does come equipped with a side-stand cut-off function. In comparison, the Hero Splendor offers an XTEC variant with a digital cluster and smartphone connectivity for notifications.

Verdict
The Shine 100 is Honda's attempt at taking away the top spot from Hero in the sales charts. With the latest update, it might not seem like much, but it is still a considerable option for those who want something other than a Splendor.
