Mini Cooper is back with a 5-Door model and a petrol-only engine option. Featuring clean and simple design elements, Mini blends traditional aesthetics with modern standards. Besides updated looks, the new Cooper 5-Door is slightly longer, wider, and taller, yet Mini claims the interior space has improved without increasing the overall footprint.

New Design
In the press release, BMW Group defines the new Mini Cooper as "Charismatic Simplicity" as the overall design appears to be minimalistic, yet creating an impact.
The iconic round Mini headlights return with octagonal front grille, and there combination is as such, that from a distance one would identify a Mini Cooper.
The rear end is similar to the previous year's model and the Mini Electric, featuring flush-fitting tail lights. Additionally, Mini offers 16-inch wheels as standard, with 18-inch wheels available as an option, depending on the model.
Interior
For the new Cooper, Mini has added a central OLED multi-information display, now positioned closer to the driver for easier access. Powered by the Mini Operating System 9, the 240 mm diameter screen is divided into two parts: the upper half displays vehicle-related information, while the lower half provides multimedia controls.
More Space
In a press release, Mini stated that the second row has significantly improved, allowing three people to comfortably sit due to the increased width of the Cooper 5-Door. Additionally, with 60:40 split seats, the trunk space can expand from 275 litres to 925 litres.
Engine Options
The new Cooper will only be available with a petrol engine, as Mini has discontinued the outgoing diesel engine. The Cooper C features a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine that produces 156 hp.
According to Mini, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds and has a top speed of 225 km/h.
The second engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 204 hp. This engine allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 242 km/h.
India Bound
The Mini Cooper has always been a popular hot hatchback among the Indian audience, and its 3-Door model has established a cult following, much like in the international market. The company has begun receiving pre-booking requests, and they will initiate the process soon. Meanwhile, there are no updates on its release.
