A News TVS Electric Scooter Spied Testing, TVS Creon Electric?

One of the largest in the automotive industry is the two-wheeler segment in India. Manufacturers are developing new products and making significant investments in the development of electric vehicles in response to the growing popularity of electric two-wheelers. TVS is one of those producers, and the company has announced an investment of Rs 1,000 crore for the development of electric two-wheelers.

Recently, a new TVS electric scooter that appears to be a Creon electric scooter was spotted being tested. The Creon electric scooter was initially displayed by TVS at the 2018 Auto Expo, and the test mule that was recently spotted has a similar look. A few months back, the company updated its iQube electric scooter, which has an elegant and subtle style. The Creon electric will look more sporty and curvaceous in comparison to the iQube electric.

While the recently discovered scooter does not entirely confirm that it is the Creon electric at this time, some elements of the test mule resemble the model seen at the 2018 Auto Expo. In comparison to the iQube, the forthcoming scooter will have more power and a longer range, and it will be targeted at young consumers. At the 2018 Auto Expo, the Creon Concept included triple battery packs that produced 12 kW of electricity. The scooter's range was stated to be roughly 80 km, and its 0 to 60 kmph acceleration time was 5.1 seconds.

If we talk about the iQube electric scooter's specifications, the base and mid-variant come with a common 3.4 kWh battery pack, providing the scooter a decent 100 km of optimal riding range. A brand-new, 5.1 kWh battery pack that is touted to be incredibly potent is included with the iQube ST variant. The top-spec ST model claims to have a 140-kilometer maximum riding range on a single charge. The top speed of the ST version is 82 kmph. One of the fastest in the segment, the 0-40 kmph time is 4.2 seconds.

The TVS Creon electric scooter is expected to offer more better specifications and features as compared to the iQube. The common features which are expected in the new scooter are audio controls, 4G telematics, and OTA updates, Alexa capability and TVS SmartXonnect app support.
