Electric vehicles are gradually gaining prominence in India. Manufacturers are better focused on converting their products to serve electric mobility. At times when fuel prices are skyrocketing, people in the country are now focusing more and more on this sustainable means of mobility. All-in-all, the country is stepping towards the future.
At this juncture, Honda, a popular Japanese brand in India presents EV enthusiasts with a small glimpse at the Benly E scooter. According to experts, this E-scooter is definitely going to play a major role in the electric two-wheeler segment which has already gained demand in the country. The Benly e is already being seen tested at the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) ahead of the vehicles launch in India.
What to expect?
The 2021 Benly-e scooter revealed features such as a large storage basket, foot brake system, a rear carrier and knuckle guards as standard. The Honda Benly e as per the spy shots showcases an LED headlight and power sockets. The vehicle is seen with a digital instrument cluster too. In addition to this, the Benly e scooter gets a reverse assist system to help the rider in situations where the vehicle needs to turn around in a narrow space. The vehicle is also equipped with a Combined braking system.

We believe that the Benly E scooter is aimed at delivery business and fleet owners with a domestic reach. Hence, it has a flat deck on the rear and a big basket on the front. The load-carrying capacity of this e scooter is limited to 60 kgs and it has a kerb weight of 125 to 130 kgs, which is impressive. The scooter gets a front- 90/90 section tyre setup that is 12 inches and 10 inches rear tyre that has a 110/90 section tyre.
As of now, we have only spotted a single colour option, Ross white.
The Honda Benly-e scooter series gets two powertrain options- The Benly e I and I pro is equipped with a 2.8kw electric motor which produces 13 Nm of peak torque. These variants are capable of providing a range of 87km in a single charge at a speed of 30kph

The Honda Benly eII and II pro sports has a 4.2Kw electric powertrain which churns out 15Nm of peak torque. This model in particular provides a range of 43km per charge at a minimum speed of 60Kph.
The Benly e range gets a lithium-Ion power pack called the Mobile Power Pack which are swappable too.
