Ampere Vehicles has been around in India for a long time now. The brand has been operating here for more than a decade. Currently, its model line-up is primarily made up of entry-level electric scooter range and the brand operates in around 200 cities in India. In 2018, Greaves Cotton acquired the company and currently there are six models in the Ampere Electric Scooter range in India. Here are all their scooters explained.
Ampere Rio Plus

Ampere Rio Plus is the second-most affordable model in the Ampere Electric Scooter Range. The variant offers both lead-acid and lithium-ion battery packs as an option. The lead-acid powered version gets 26 Ah battery with a 250W BLDC motor. It can do a maximum speed of 25 km/h and has a range of 55 km on a full charge. The battery takes about 8-10 hours depending on the weather to charge completely.
Ampere Reo Elite
Price: Rs 43,273 (Lead Acid), Rs 60,310 (Lithium-ion)

The Reo Elite looks much sportier than the Reo Plus. It is designed for urban millennials and looks quite aggressive. The Reo Elite looks sleek and gets an all-LED digital display. It gets a 20 Ah Lead-Acid battery or a 24 Ah Lithium-ion battery. It can also do a maximum speed of 25 km/h with a range of 55 km on a full charge. The lead-acid battery takes about 8-10 hours while Li-ion battery pack takes about 5-6 hours to charge completely.
Ampere V48 Plus

This is the most affordable model in the Ampere Electric Scooter Range. The entry-level V48 Plus and gets only lead-acid battery pack that takes 8-10 hours to charge completely. It gets a 250W electric motor and a 20 Ah battery pack. Fully charged, it can do about 50 km. The entry-level scooter is aimed at young buyers and does not require a driving license or registration.

The Magnus 60 Ampere Electric Scooter gets powered by a 20 Ah Lead-Acid battery. As per Ampere, the Magnus has been designed to complete day-to-day riding in the metro cities because of its better range. It only gets a lead-acid battery pack that can be used for 60-65 km on the range. It has a maximum speed of 25 km/h.

The Magnus Pro is the performance scooter from the brand and it comes powered by a lithium-ion battery pack only. It can do a maximum speed of 55 km/h and takes only 5 to 6 hours to charge completely. It gets a 1200 watts electric motor take is quite powerful. This scooter also comes with 3 years or 20,000 km warranty.
The scooter comes loaded with features like a digital instrument cluster and LED light in boot. Also, you get the detachable battery that can you can carry and charge.

The Zeal EX is designed to offer you a balance between performance and comfort. The electric scooter is about 30 kg lighter than conventional scooters from the same price range. It comes with a Lithium-ion battery pack and can do a maximum speed of 55 km/h. The scooter gets a range of 80 km on a full charge.
