Ampere Electric seems to be ready to bring a new electric scooter to the market on 30 April. The brand has been testing a new scooter codenamed Ampere NXG for the last few months and this scooter is expected to be launched on 30 April. Ampere NXG - What We Know So Far?
Ampere NXG has been spotted on test several times and some details about the scooter have been revealed. The bookings of the scooter are already underway. The upcoming NXG is expected to be renamed as the Ampere Nexus. The scooter will boast a premium design and will be based on a new platform. The design will be inspired by an Arctic tern. This upcoming electric scooter will be focused on family-oriented buyers.
The NXG is expected to boast new features as well such as a new TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, and LED lighting, among other things. As for the hardware the scooter will get telescopic forks, and 12-inch tyres with alloy wheels, the test mule of the scooter was seen with a single front disk brake which is expected to make way to the production-spec model.
The Ampere NXG test mule showcased a spacious seat design as well which signifies that the scooter will get a good space for rider and pillion. The overall design of the scooter will be like a conventional scooter and it will attract family-oriented buyers.
As for the battery specifications, the brand has not yet revealed or teased any details of the battery pack and performance of the scooter. We can anticipate a lithium-ion or LFP battery to do the duties.

Verdict
Ampere Electric will launch the NXG as a family-scooter which means it will rival with some of the prominent names in the electric two-wheeler market such as the Ola S1X and the recently launched Ather Rizta. The NXG needs to be priced competitively to make a name for itself in the electric two-wheeler market.
