Ashok Leyland is one of the leading companies from the Hinduja group, which has excelled successfully in the commercial vehicle market. This commercial vehicle manufacturer has pioneered technologies with high levels of research and development to offer the best to its customers. One of the recent offerings is a new Ashok Leyland Tipper which is equipped with NRS suspension and a Tandem dummy axle for heavy-duty load carrying. The model has been unveiled and named the AVTR 4825 10X2 Tipper in the native Indian markets. It is claimed to be the first modular Indian truck platform. which offers 19 to 55 tonnes of BVW truck ranges.
Powered by a new A4 series engine, the AVTR 10x2 features an i-Gen 6 technology and produces 900 N-m of torque. This engine is capable of delivering superior performance results and durability in the long run. The i-Gen 6 technology helps the brand to curb NOx emissions with a unique solution which would, in turn, reduce the consumption of DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) in the truck to a great extent. This extraordinary advancement would lead to a low operational cost and increased profitability in the long run. With the AVTR 4825 truck, the manufacturer offers 10x4 and 10x2 drivetrain options which aid to improve the surface application, Turn Around Time (TAT) and fuel efficiency. The power is transmitted from the motor to the wheels using a heavy-duty 9-speed gearbox for higher durability. With its significantly high loading capacity, the AVTR boasts the next-gen airbrake braking system with Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) and Active Brake Assist (ABA).

The Ashok Leyland AVTR is equipped with a 12.5-tonne Dual Tyre Lift Axle (DTLA) and a heavy-duty rear axle with Tandem Dummy in the rear. This setup is based on the patented parallelogram technology, which offers better tyre life. In terms of drivability aid, this truck features a cable shift gear, an air-assisted clutch pedal for reduced effort, an integrated ABC pedal and a Parabolic suspension with non-reactive rear counterparts and heavy-duty rear axles. The safety and comfort levels in the cabin are raised manifold by a suspended seat in the damped cabin, which is crash code compliant and offers an optional air conditioning unit.
Ashok Leyland has equipped the AVTR with an anti-roll bar and anti toppling sensors for enhanced safety during loading and unloading heavy materials. The tipper junction is lifted by a heavy-duty, four-stage Hydraulic tipping cylinder.
With connected technology taking a leap forward in passenger vehicles, the manufacturer has managed to pack in i-Alert (advanced telematics) and remote diagnostics digital solutions with 24 customer assistance via Uptime Solution Centres in its commercial vehicle portfolio as well.
