Ather Electric Scooter 5-Year Loan Scheme Details
As per Ather, there is a big scope in EV sales in the coming future. However, the higher costs of buying need to be dealt with. Until now, Ather e-scooters could be brought on a loan tenure of a maximum of 3 years. Various Indian Banks & non-banking financial companies were offering the loan. Under some circumstances, this loan tenure was stretched up to 4 years as well. Now, Ather has introduced a 60-month loan tenure option. For this, Ather has clubbed with IDFC First, Bajaj Finance, & Hero FinCorp. With this, new customers can buy e-scooters with low EMI of up to Rs 2,999.
Mind you, Ather recently introduced its new affordable variant called 450S. It offers slightly less range & fewer features when compared to the 450X. However, its low pricing is going to be a major turnaround for sales as per the company. Ather launched the 450S with 115km of certified riding range and a top speed of 90 kmph. The 450S rivals Ola S1 Air and it is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (excluding the state subsidy).
Verdict
The government of India recently reduced the FAME-II subsidy rates for EVs. Hence, electric scooters in India became more expensive. Ather witnessed a steep price hike of Rs 30,285 on its 450X range. Now, the 60-month loan tenure will help in hosting the dipping sales due to the high price.
