Ather Energy is undoubtedly among the leading players in the fast-expanding EV market of the country. The Ather 450X has already found many takers and it looks like the good response that the scooter has got has pushed the EV-maker to establish EV charging pods at 500 new locations. Dubbed Ather Grid 2.0, the network of new charging stations aim to support the EV charging ecosystem in India. The manufacturer goes on to state that the new fast-charging infrastructure will be built on its existing grid of EV charging stations. Also, the work on the installation of new charges has already begun at Bengaluru and Chennai.

If the electric vehicle manufacturer is to be believed, the Ather Grid 2.0 has been designed to redefine the future of public utility by building an easy-to-use and scalable EV-charging infrastructure. The upcoming network of charging stations will support fast charging along with offering enhanced safety features and error resolution capabilities. Moreover, Ather says that its Grid 2.0 will offer higher durability as the network will be designed to be able to handle degradation. This should make it more sustainable in an environment of extreme environmental conditions.
The Ather Grid 2.0 charging network will have a modular design that will enable easily serviceability of the components and even offer a remote diagnostic capability. The EV manufacturer further informs that Grid 2.0 will stay connected 24x7 in order to offer real-time availability data of all the stations in all the cities to the users. It must be noted here that Ather Grid is now one of the most expansive fast-charging networks for electric two-wheelers in India. This network is spread across more than 21 cities and has been established at 215 locations. With the addition of 500 more locations by the end of next year, this Grid will grow exponentially. The network of chargers is available for both electric two-wheelers and four-wheelers and is free for use until the end of this year.
