Upcoming Ather Rizta Scooter Spied
In contrast to the existing 450X lineup, the Ather Rizta presents a more substantial and larger profile. Emphasizing practicality and overall usability, it features an expanded floorboard area and an extended seat. Previous images suggest that Rizta's design leans towards a more conservative aesthetic and is more likely to be simply designed.
Going by the spy shots, it's not just your regular testing. You can notice that along with a rider and a pillion, extra luggage has been placed at the rear with more weight sitting on the floorboard in front. Since it has been designed to deliver more practicality, it is being tested under the closest conditions that it will face once it gets to customers.
It is expected to come with telescopic front forks and a mono-shock at the rear, complemented by braking components consisting of front and rear discs mounted on 12-inch wheels at both ends.
Battery And Range: What To Expect?
Although the performance specifications are still undisclosed, it is anticipated that Ather will incorporate a new battery and motor configuration in the Rizta. This setup is likely designed to provide an improved range compared to the existing 450X scooters. Expect the range to fall somewhere in the ballpark of 150-180 km on a single charge.

Launch, Price, And Rivals
Ather is gearing up for the mid-2024 launch of the Rizta EV, with an official announcement likely around that time. Anticipated to be competitively priced between Rs. 1.30 to Rs. 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), the Rizta will enter the market as a direct competitor to the TVS iQube and the Ola S1 Pro.
Verdict
The upcoming scooter from Ather is aimed at an entirely different section of buyers. While current line-up is more sporty and sharp styled, Rizta will be more subtly styled along with more space and practicality. However, the specs and range will play a major role in its adaptability in the market.
