Audi India is going to kick start their new year with the new Q8. Audi India is now geared up to upgrade its portfolio and has stacked up a slew of launches for 2020. The first new launch in recent times was the next-generation A6 with only a single petrol engine option at a price of 54.2 lakhs ex-showroom.
Now Audi has announced the launch of their flagship SUV, the Audi Q8 on 15 January 2020. The game of grilles is going to become more fierce by the launch of the Q8 thanks to its gigantic typical Hexagonal grille. The Q8 is a Coup-ish counterpart of the Q7 SUV and has been placed at the top in their global portfolio.
Audi has kept the diesel propulsion at the backstage for some time for the Indian market and has focussed on petrol cars. All the new cars Audi will launch in India will come only with petrol engines and that's also the case with the Q8. Audi Q8 will only get a single-engine option which is a 335 bhp 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine coupled with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system under the moniker 55 TFSI which shove it from standstill to 100 in just 5.9 seconds.
Audi Q8 uses the same MLB Evo platform which its siblings like Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Benteyaga take under their bodyshell. Well, the power figures are enough to give the confirmation that it is in no world going to dig the interest of the people who adore SUVs like Cayenne and the Urus. The Q8 has been shifted to take on the luxury and technology into its bag and that will give it a success in India.
The interior is loaded with tech featuring 3 huge screens, one is reserved for driver's credentials and the other two, both are touchscreen if you care are placed in the middle of the dashboard. We have also seen the same layout in the Audi A6.

The expected price of the new Audi Q8 in India is around 1.5 crores and it will be a completely built unit (CBU) and supposed to come in limited numbers. Once launched, it will take on the likes of the upcoming BMW X6, Mercedes GLE Coupe and Range Rover Sport. After the Q8, Audi India will also launch the Audi A8, Q3 facelift, A7 and some alluring RS models too!
