Bajaj Auto will soon launch the Pulsar RS 400 in Indonesia. The Indian automaker ventured into the Indonesian market multiple times before. A few years back, Pulsar RS 200 was launched in Indonesia but the bike couldn't attract many buyers owing to the diverse demographic structure of Indonesia compared to India. The Indonesian people are mostly short riders and so the high seat height of RS 200 couldn't lure the audience.
According to new reports, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar RS 400 will feature a lower saddle height and more comfortable riding ergonomics so that it could fascinate people and become accessible to a wide range of audience. The new RS 400 will be a tad redesigned motorcycle compared to the RS 200 sold in India. It will get some styling changes along with a redesigned bulky fairing to lose some weight and might also feature new LED headlights and tail lights. Bajaj could also add some new features to make it an even better package.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS 400 will be powered by the same mill that also powers the Dominar 400. It will get a 373.3cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled motor that will produce around 40 PS of power and 35 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox and it might also feature slipper clutch. The other details about the motorcycle are very scarce at the moment but we believe it will get telescopic forks at the front, a mono-shock at the rear and disc brakes at both the end with dual-channel ABS.
Talking about the launch timeline, Bajaj Auto has already signed a new contract with the Indonesian government and the Pulsar RS 400 will be launched in Indonesia in August 2020. The India launch of the Pulsar RS 400 is uncertain as of now but we really wish Bajaj considers it for its native market. The Pulsar fans are already in anticipation of a 400cc Pulsar since the showcase of SS 400 concept at the 2014 Auto Expo, which later made into production as Pulsar RS 200. If launched, the Pulsar RS 400 will be the Flagship Pulsar Motorcycle in India.
