Benelli has been updating its Indian portfolio in a strong manner to make sure they cater to a wider audience. Last year, they launched their most affordable offering, the Imperiale 400 and now for 2020, the Benelli BN125 might make it to showrooms as well. What you see here are the first images of this naked streetfighter that has landed on Indian shores.
The Benelli BN125's pictures were uploaded by Kaulson Racing, one of the pioneers for importing, selling and servicing Superbikes in India. We don't know if this is an official import on behalf of the company but the images do keep our hopes high for a possible launch in 2020. The Benelli BN125 should go head to head with the KTM Duke 125.
In terms of specs, the BN125 gets an air-cooled 125cc engine that is good for 11.1 Bhp of power and 10 Nm of torque. While these figures aren't a match for the Duke 125, the BN125 does look good for the engine capacity. Kerb weight stands at over 142kg which is on the higher side for a 125cc bike.
It carries on design cues from its elder siblings and this shade of white and red makes it look smart too. Features include a digital console, CBS or combined braking system and wide tyres of size 110mm front and 130mm rear.
We also like the exposed frame that is finished in red, the sporty exhaust and a sharp rear that looks right out of an Italian machine. If launched, Benelli would have to price this at around the Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. Would you buy one? Let us know in the comment section below
