However, the new details from the PMO (Prime Miniter Office) have come that the vehicles displaying their caste on their cars will be seized or the police officials are issuing heavy challan.

The traffic cops in Uttar Pradesh especially are heavily targeting vehicles where there is a wide display of caste on the cars of individuals. There have been instances where even the vehicles of government officials have received a challan of Rs 5,000. With the new rules coming into action, traffic officials are heavily targeting such cars.

Such stickers should not be pasted on the vehicles. Those who are found guilty of the offence, their vehicle will be seized. According to our enforcement teams, every 20th vehicle is found carrying such a sticker. Our headquarters has asked us to take action against such vehicle owners, DK Tripathi, deputy transport commissioner, Kanpur, told Hindustan Times.
If you are wondering that all of a sudden what happened to the government and why they are taking such strict measures then they received a letter from a teacher, Harshal Prabhu via IGRS, an integrated system designed for redressal of grievances, complaining about the display of caste stickers on the vehicles. He in his letter said that caste display on vehicles have become very prevalent and it is a threat to the social fabric of the society.
