It has been in news since a really long time that BMW Motorrad is working on the new BS6-compliant G310 Twins. The new BMW G310 R and the G310 GS BS6 have been spied in India on multiple occasions. We also brought for you a World Exclusive walkaround video of the new G310 Twins and you can read about them by clicking HERE. The company has announced that these new affordable Bimmers will be launched in India on October 8, 2020. Now, ahead of the launch, the new BMW G310 GS BS6 has been officially revealed. Let's have a look at it.
So, as you can see in these images, the new 2020 BMW G310 GS doesn't get any big cosmetic update. But, it does get several minor cosmetic upgrades which makes it look much better than before. While the older BS4 G310 GS used to get a dual-tone treatment on the body, the new G310 GS BS6 gets a triple-tone treatment. It also gets subtle red inserts on the body panels to enhance its sporty appeal and the exposed red trellis frame also looks very cool. Talking about the changes, so the first major change is the way it looks.
The motorcycle now gets new colour schemes and a slightly revised bikini fairing. The colour variant which you see in the above picture gets Kyanit Blue Metallic colour on the fuel tank and a high-raised front fender. It also gets RALLYE branding on the high-raised front fender and this triple-tone colour scheme does look very good. The company has also revealed a new black & yellow colour option for the motorcycle which commemorates 40 years of GS and will be called the '40 years GS Edition'. Talking about the add-ons, so the motorcycle will now get a new all-LED headlamp, LED turn indicators and daytime-running LEDs.

We were expecting a new instrument cluster too. But, it retains its older all-digital unit for instrumentation which shows a host of information digitally. What it does get now is an anti-hopping clutch (slipper clutch) which is a very nice addition. Also, it gets adjustable brake and clutch levers. The new G310 GS will be powered by a BS6-compliant 312cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This motor produces 34 PS of power at 9500 RPM and 27.3 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It will also get an 'electronic throttle grip' (electromotive throttle controller) for improved throttle response.
