After a lot of teasers on the official social media handles, BMW Motorrad has now finally announced that the new BMW G310 R and the G310 GS BS6 will be launched in India on October 8, 2020. The bookings for the new upcoming BS6-compliant BMW G310 Twins are already open across all BMW Motorrad India dealerships since 1st September. So, the BMW G310 R and the G310 GS were first launched in the country in the year 2018 and all thanks to a lower price tag than other Bimmers, they went on to become the highest-selling BMW motorcycles in India. Now, it's 2020 and so they are getting the BS6 treatment. Along with the BS6 update, the BMW G310 Twins will also get subtle cosmetic upgrades and some new features might be added. We have already spied the new BS6 G310 Twins on the roads of Delhi-NCR and you can read about them by clicking HERE.

The new 2020 BMW G310 R and the G310 GS will get an all-LED headlamp, LED turn indicators and a LED taillamp too. Both these motorcycles will sport a muscular fuel tank with sharper lines on the body panels, new tank extensions, radiator shrouds and belly pan. In all, the new BS6-compliant BMW G310 Twins will look much more sporty and attractive than before. Also, they will get a new powerplant which will breathe cleaner air. The BMW G310 Twins share their powerplant with the TVS Apache RR 310.
So, the new 2020 TVS Apache RR 310 is powered by a BS6-compliant 312cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 34 PS of power at 9700 RPM and 27.3 Nm of torque at 7700 RPM. The RR 310 comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and it gets a slipper clutch as standard. The new BMW G310 Twins will get the same mill with identical power and torque figures. However, the engine of the G310 GS might be tuned slightly differently as it is a touring machine. Also, they might get a quick shifter and a slipper clutch too but these are not officially confirmed.
