BMW has brought their super luxurious M840i Gran Coupe and super sporty M8 Coupe in the Indian market, one is the pinnacle of a luxury coupe and the other is the big daddy of M. The BMW M840i Gran Coupe is available in two trims - Standard at Rs 1,29,90,000 and the M-sport at Rs 1,55,00,000. The M8 Coupe is priced at Rs 2,15,00,000, all prices ex-showroom, PAN India. Both the cars will sit on the top shelf of BMW India's lineup.

Talking about the M8 Coupe first, this Coupe is the fastest M car from BMW in India. The M8 Coupe draws power from a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 which produces 600 hp and 750 Nm of torque paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. In international markets, BMW also offers the Competition pack which adds 25hp more, making it a 625hp monster. Thanks to the xDrive, the M8 does 0-100 in just 3.3 seconds and the xDrive can send 100% power to the rear wheels with which you can bring some smoke on the road.
Talking about the features, BMW M8 is loaded with tech including 10.25-inch touchscreen iDrive system with wireless Apple Car Play, heads-up display, wireless charging, BMW key, 3D navigation, 12.3-inch digital driver's display, park assist and other hosts of features. BMW Efficient Dynamics includes features such as Sports Automatic Transmission, Auto Start-Stop, Brake-Energy Regeneration, Electronic Power Steering, 50:50 Weight Distribution and ECO PRO mode in Driving Experience Control.
Coming to the BMW 840i Gran Coupe now, it draws power from a 3.0-litre inline-6 turbo petrol engine which churns out 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. The 840i does 0-100 in 5.2 seconds and it also gets BMW M-sport differential. As the Gran Coupe is all about luxury, BMW has not left any boxes checked here. The rear gets two individual chairs and the front two seats are electronically operated sports seats.
The cockpit is driver-focused with the tilted touchscreen infotainment system and controls. Every part of the interior is wrapped in Walknappa leather and the 840i also offers a boot storage capacity of 440 litres. The M-sport variant brings more sporty bits and features too. The M840i offers BMW laser lights, bigger air intakes and sporty bumpers, 19-inch double-spoke M alloy wheels and chromed exhaust tips.

On the inside, the M840i offers 4-zone climate control, BMW heads-up display, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, digital driver's display, 3D navigation, 360-degree parking camera and and hosts of other advanced features.
