BMW Motorrad India has introduced the latest addition to its lineup: the BMW M 1000 XR, available exclusively in the M Competition variant. Priced at Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom), it is imported as a built-up unit (CBU). It comes in an exclusive paint finish: Blackstorm metallic/M Motorsport colour scheme. Read on for more details. BMW M 1000 XR Competition: Design Details

The M 1000 XR boasts an aggressive look with its sleek all-black finish. It comes equipped with M winglets, the distinctive signature LED light, and a tinted Sport windscreen. New bar-end mirrors have been added along with a narrower rear section featuring slimmer side panels and motorsport-style air intakes. The bike also features the "X" signature and a more streamlined passenger grab handle. Additionally, it is fitted with two three-way catalytic converters and a more steeply angled titanium rear silencer with a Carbon end cap.

The new BMW M 1000 XR comes equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display, an OBD interface for M GPS Datalogger and M GPS Laptrigger, cruise control, a USB charging socket, adaptive turning lights, heated grips, Riding modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race Pro1-3), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), DTC wheelie function with a 6-axis sensor box, ABS and ABS Pro, Brake Slide Assist function, Shift Assistant Pro, Hill Start Control Pro, and more. Notably, it features BMW ShiftCam technology, and the Pro Modes also include Launch Control and a pit-lane limiter feature.

BMW M 1000 XR Competition: Engine, Delivery, And More

The new M XR is powered by a modified water-cooled 4-cylinder in-line engine, delivering a peak power of 148 kW (201 hp) at 12,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 278 km/h.

What's more, the M Competition Package comes as standard, providing enhanced features. For those seeking further personalization, a wide array of optional equipment and original BMW Motorcycle accessories are available.
