The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is coming soon! BMW Motorrad India has rolled out a new teaser, clearly mentioning the name of the adventure motorcycle on a dust background. If you thought the standard R 1300 GS was hardcore enough, the GS Adventure takes things to another level.

BMW R 1300 GS Adventure: Details
Simply put, the R 1300 GS Adventure looks outrageous! While the regular R 1300 GS has become sleeker and leaner than its predecessor, the GS Adventure goes the other way. The 30-litre fuel tank is already bulky enough, and the tank extensions make the motorcycle look a lot more bulbous as well.
The R 1300 GS Adventure is based on the regular R 1300 GS, but there are a few differences under the skin to give it that extra hardcore edge. Both motorcycles are built on the same sheet metal shell frame, but the GS Adventure replaces the aluminium rear sub-frame with a lattice tube rear frame that is also made of aluminium and other forged parts. This frame gets the Evo Telelever and Paralever suspension, with electronic adjustability as standard.
The 1300cc, twin-cylinder boxer engine has been retained, producing 143bhp at 7750rpm and 149Nm of torque at 6500rpm. While it gets a 6-speed gearbox as standard, the GS Adventure will be the first Beemer to get the new Automated Shift Assistant as well. However, whether or not this automatic options comes here remains to be seen.

In terms of features, the GS Adventure gets things like four riding modes, knuckle guards with integrated turn indicators, keyless functions, heated grips, auxiliary lamps, engine drag torque control, and a tyre pressure monitor among other things. It also gets adaptive vehicle height control, which lowers the vehicle height by 30mm when stationary or at low speeds. Radar-based rider assistance aids are offered as an optional extra, while cruise control is equipped as standard.

Verdict
The R 1300 GS Adventure will certainly be ideal for those who are on the saddle for longer hours and ride over longer distances, considering that it gets a 30-litre fuel tank. Its outrageous design will stand out, and it's not going to be very affordable either.
