Following the successful launch of the BMW X3 facelift in early 2022, the German carmaker is preparing to launch the X4 SUV facelift in India. BMW has been teasing the X4 for the Indian market on social media, and in a new teaser, the company has revealed the X4 SUV facelift's launch date for 2022. According to the teaser, the BMW X4 facelift would be released in India on March 10, 2022.
The X4 facelift will be manufactured in India at BMW India's facility in Chennai. Pre-orders for the SUV have already begun, and the special Black Shadow model is already sold out in India. The new X4 can be reserved at BMW India's dealerships and online website for Rs 50,000. The new SUV will have a slew of improvements, including considerable exterior and interior design upgrades.

The exterior will feature BMW's iconic kidney grille, a reworked front bumper, and new LED headlights with Matrix function, among other things. On the side, the SUV will get new alloy wheels. The back bumpers of the SUV will also be altered, as well as the rear reflectors.
The inside will be updated with a new touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument display system with head-up display, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, new leather-wrapped interiors, seats, and so on.
In terms of powertrain, the petrol version will be driven by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. Power and torque outputs are estimated to be in the 250 bhp and 350 Nm ranges. Diesel models will have two engine options: a 2.0-litre four-cylinder and a 3.0-litre six-cylinder. The smaller diesel engine will generate roughly 190 bhp, while the powerful 3.0-litre straight-six will generate around 260 bhp. The Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox will be standard on all engines.

The SUV's pricing may rise somewhat from the current generation's starting price of Rs 67.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, which is already available in the Indian market.
