The new Silver Shadow edition of the BMW X4 gets a distinguished exterior design, and an interior heightened with luxurious materials.
BMW has launched the new Silver Shadow Edition of the X4 Sports Activity Coupe, available with both petrol and diesel variants. Prices for the former start from Rs. 71,90, 000; and the diesel xDrive30d starts from Rs. 73,90,000 (ex-showroom prices, Delhi). Bookings have already started for the same. Below here we have discussed some of the aesthetic changes that this Silver Shadow X4 enjoys over the regular model.
Starting off with the exterior, the front fascia sees some important changes. For example, the Silver Shadow edition of the BMW X4 gets 10 mm slimmer adaptive headlamps. This is followed by the BMW mesh kidney grille that gets a distinctive frame and grille nugget in a high-gloss chrome finish. This special edition X4 also comes with BMWs M Aerodynamic package as standard, which gets you further components in the rear, front, and side sill aprons in body colors.

The rear fascia remains the same, with components available with the M Aerodynamic package. The side profile of the BMW X4 is further accentuated by the M High Shadow line, that runs the length of the windows, and on all three pillars as well. The 20-inch double-spoke alloy wheels further give way to its masculine appeal. It also gets three new, unique exterior color options. This includes an all-new Carbon Black, Phytonic Blue, and Alpine White paintworks
Inside the new Silver Shadow edition of the BMW X4, the overall cabin design remains the same. However, there are some exclusive features, like standard Sports seats with electric adjustments and memory functions. The dashboard sees the implementation of M headliner anthracite, and galvanice embellishers - that further contribute to the cabins premiums. The steering wheel is also covered in M leather with Walknappa black coloring and black stitching.

Some of the standout features available inside the BMW X4 Silver Shadow Edition are a Panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a welcome light carpet, and 3-zone automatic climate control. The boot space has a capacity of 525-liters, which can be further expanded to 1,430-liters, courtesy, of the 40/20/40 split seats. The modern BMW Live Cockpit Professional gets 2D navigation, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch control display with a BMW head-up display. The infotainment screen can be controlled via gesture, and a knob is placed beside the gear knob. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, along with a Harman Kardon surround system with 16-speakers.
Mechanically, the Silver Shadow Edition of the BMW X4 gets the same TwinTurbo technology for both petrol and diesel variants. The former is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that produces 252 hp and 350 Nm of torque. With this engine, the X4 can do 0-100 km/hr in 6.6 seconds. The diesel xDrive30d is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-6 engine that produces 265 bhp and a monstrous 620 Nm of torque. The diesel engine can help catapult the X4 from 0-100 km/hr in 5.8 seconds. Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, along with BMWs xDrive all-wheel-drive technology.
