New Delhi: The BMW group launched the new BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus variants in the Indian markets. It is available in two variants X5 xDrive30d SportX Plus and X5 xDrive40i SportX Plus priced at Rs 79.50 lakh and Rs 77.90 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. These variants are made in India at the BMW plant in Chennai and the car now can be booked at the shop.bmw.in.
The new BMW X5 variants come equipped with a large single-piece hexagonal kidney grille, a sculpted bonnet, and short overhangs. It also gets front LED headlamps and LED fog lamps, and at the rear it gets 3D wrap-around LED tail-lights. The roof rails come equipped with a satin aluminum finish.

The SportX Plus offers a Sports leather steering wheel, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, exterior mirror package, sports seats, a panoramic glass roof, and welcome light carpet. The SUV gets ambient lighting with six dimmable designs, a four-zone automatic climate control, electroplated control, and electrically adjustable roller sunblinds.
The cabin gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument console for the driver and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The BMW X5 SportX Plus variant also gets BMW Gesture Control, BMW Display Key, Head-Up Display, parking assistant with a rearview camera, and reversing assistant. There is a smartphone holder integrated into the centre console, which gives access to wireless charging for mobile phones that support wireless charging. The car features a new 205W HiFi loudspeaker system.
The new BMW X5 xDrive30d is powered with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produces 265 bhp of power and 620 Nm of torque between 1,500-2,500rpm. It is claimed to achieve 0-100 kmph acceleration in just 6.5 seconds.

On the other hand, the xDrive40i SportX Plus gets a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine that produces 340 bhp of power and a maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1,500 5,200 rpm. It accelerates to 0 - 100 kmph from a standstill in just 5.5 seconds.
Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, delivering power to the all-4 wheels with help of the BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The SUV features Automatic Differential Brakes/Locks (ADB-X), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Start Assist, and Hill Descent Control along with an adaptive suspension setup. It also gets steering wheel paddle shifters and cruise control with a braking function.

Not only this, but it also includes Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO mode, Brake-Energy Regeneration, Electronic Power Steering, 50:50 Weight Distribution, and Driving Experience Control switch.
BMW features several first-in-class safety features with its latest BMW X5 xDrive SportX Plus. The new x5 is equipped with six airbags, attentiveness assistance, dynamic stability control (DSC) including cornering brake control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer, and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting, and integrated emergency spare wheel under the floor. The new BMW x5 xDrive is a new premium luxury SUV available in India.
