In line with this, the startup from Bangalore has already acquired 22Motors along with its production facility situated in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan in a deal that is valued at USD 7 million. Not just this, Bounce is even contemplating setting up another manufacturing facility to cater to the rising demand in South India.
Other than setting up a robust production plan, the EV startup has already announced an investment of USD 100 million for expansion of its battery swapping infrastructure as well as ramping up of manufacturing of the e-scooters over the next twelve months. Meanwhile, bookings of the Bounce Infinity, the company's first-ever electric scooter, will start on December 2. The interested will be able to book the upcoming EV for a token amount of Rs 499. Also, it's worth mentioning here that the Infinity is being touted as a 'Made in India' scooter, which clearly hints at a high level of localization.

The upcoming EV will feature a removable Lithium-ion battery that will make it possible for the users to carry the unit with them and charge it based on their convenience. Also, one will be able to check out the battery health and charging status through a smartphone app, thereby further benefitting from additional convenience.
Moreover, Bounce will also offer a one-of-its-kind option to the electric two-wheeler buyers that will enable them to buy the Infinity e-scooter at a highly affordable price by purchasing the vehicle without the battery. Instead, such consumers can make use of the company's wide battery-swapping network. This will surely benefit those who have a lower use and don't wish to invest a large sum on a battery-powered scooter.
In the above scenario, the customers will need to pay only for the battery swaps on exchanging an empty battery with a fully-charged one. The same will be facilitated by Bounce's extensive battery-swapping network. As mentioned, the Bounce Infinity will be produced at the Bhiwadi-based facility situated in Rajasthan. It has an annual production capacity of 180,000 units a year.
