The Nissan Gravite has been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in eight variants. It is powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. It will compete with the Renault Triber, Maruti Ertiga, and Toyota Rumion.

The Nissan Gravite makes a strong case as an affordable Indian family MPV. Even with attractive pricing, Nissan hasn’t cut corners at all. The interior feels spacious and practical with good quality materials. The dual-CNG cylinder version allows all three rows to be used without compromise. While we would have liked to see a more powerful turbo-petrol option, the Gravite still comes across as a sensible and highly usable package. Segment-best extended warranty and very low maintenance costs are the icing on the cake.
