The Hyundai Aura is a good family sedan priced below Rs 10 lakh in India. It offers fuel-efficient engine choices, a generous amount of features, a comfortable cabin, and a premium interior ambiance. While Aura competes well within its segment, its association with taxi operations somewhat ruins its appeal among individual buyers. Nevertheless, fleet operators appreciate the Aura for its excellent driving dynamics and comfortable ride quality.

  • Lack of diesel or turbo petrol engine options
  • The Aura has become a preferable choice for the fleet operators giving it a taxi image
  • Front seats feature integrated headrests, which may not offer the same level of comfort as adjustable ones
  • The presence of hard plastic materials in the cabin detracts from the premium feel of certain components
  • While the rear seat is spacious, accommodating three adults on long trips may not be comfortable for the middle passenger
  • The absence of a front armrest, which could have provided additional comfort during highway drives
  • Lack of boot space in CNG variants
  • The AMT gearbox is available in a single variant only

Fuel Efficient Engine Options 8

• In the 2023 facelift of the Aura, Hyundai has maintained the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. However, the 1-liter turbo petrol engine, which was available in the pre-facelift model, has been discontinued in the new facelift. The Aura also retains its availability in the CNG option. 

• The 1.2-liter NA petrol engine in the Aura generates 83 bhp of power and a maximum torque of 113.8 Nm, and is offered with a choice of either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. The CNG variants of the Aura produce a maximum torque of 95.2 Nm and 69 bhp of power, and come with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The CNG engine is claimed to give a mileage of nearly 28 km/kg.

Stylish Exterior Gives It Elegant Look 8

• Hyundai has implemented several exterior design updates in the Aura facelift. Notably, it now features inverted 'L' shaped LED DRLs, replacing the front fog lamps seen in the pre-facelift model. Additionally, the pre-facelift's single-piece grille has been replaced by a slimmer upper grille and a wider lower grille, housing the LED DRLs and vertical side air ducts. The front bumper has undergone minor revisions, resulting in a more aggressive appearance.

• While the rear design remains unchanged, Hyundai has made the boot lip spoiler standard across all trim levels, a feature previously limited to the top-end variants. Moreover, a new starry night paint scheme has been introduced as an option for the Aura.

It Gives A Premium Interior Without Breaking The Budger 8

• The Hyundai Aura's interior exudes a premium ambiance without breaking the budget. Sporting a dual-tone design, the interior layout remains unchanged. However, Hyundai has introduced new fabric upholstery for the seats. 

• Additionally, premium gloss black inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, chrome finishing on the gear knob and parking lever tip, as well as metal finishes on the inside door handles, have been incorporated to enhance the overall appeal.

• Hyundai has introduced several comfort and convenience features in the Aura facelift, some of which are firsts in its segment. These include TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), wireless phone charging, cruise control, a 3.5-inch digital MID, front footwell lighting, type-C fast USB charging, and automatic headlamps.

Good Standard Safety Features 9

• Hyundai has standardized six airbags in the Aura, alongside additional safety features like all five 3-point seat belts. Regarding active safety measures, ABS and EBD are standard across all variants. Furthermore, higher trims of the Aura now include ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and Hill Start Assist as new additions, along with features such as TPMS, ESC, VSM, rearview camera, automatic headlamps, and more.

  The Hyundai Aura CNG mileage is 22km/kg. The Manual Petrol variant mileage is 17km/l and also the automatic petrol variant mileage is 17km/l. Hyundai Aura ensures you get good mileage for your drives. The comfort and design is good.
