The BYD Q1 electric truck was recently spotted in India, thus sparking rumours about a launch soon in the country. The China-based brand recently introduced the e6 electric MPV in the country and is now looking forward to expanding the commercial line-up for the Indian market. The Q1 electric truck was spotted at the Kattupalli port near Chennai is known for its heavy-duty operations. Here are all the details that you would want to know about this upcoming electric truck in the Indian market.
In the global markets, the BYD Q1 electric truck boasts a powerful powertrain that delivers peak power and torque output of 282 bhp and 450 Nm respectively. The motor takes its juice from the 255 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The battery pack can be fully charged in 7 hours by a standard 40 kW AC charger while the 120kW DC fast-charger will only take 2.5 hours to fully charge this massive battery pack. On a single charge, the BYD Q1 delivers a range of around 200 km while the top-speed is restricted at 85km/h.

Having said this, the BYD Q1 truck boasts a gross combination weight rating of 40 tonnes and is one of the most capable electric offerings that we have in the market. Apart from this, the Q1 truck comes equipped with pneumatic disc brakes with regenerative braking and ABS. BYD is currently targeting the B2B segment and is the 4th largest publicly traded car manufacturer by market capitalization across the globe.
