Pros
Compact Design & Light Weight
This 100cc motorcycle borrows styling elements from its Shine 125 sibling. It has elements such an aluminium grab rail, a chrome exhaust muffler cover, a long single seat, all-black alloy wheels, and a blackened engine casing. It also has a black headlamp cowl. A black headlamp cowl is also added to it. The bike's dimensions are: 1955 mm in length, 754 mm in width, 1050 mm in height, 1245 mm in wheelbase, and 168 mm in ground clearance. It weighs only 99 kg. The new Honda motorcycle comes in 5 colour options: black with red stripes, black with blue stripes, black with green stripes, black with gold stripes and black with grey stripes.
Fuel Efficient Engine
For the new Shine 100, Honda developed a brand-new 100cc engine. It features a brand-new 99.7cc engine with a maximum output of 7.2 bhp and 8.05 Nm. The engine, which features a 4-speed transmission, is housed in a brand-new diamond frame made especially for this bike. The new engine is also E20 gasoline compatible and OBD-2 compliant.
Ride & Agility
Given its modest weight, the bike is particularly maneuverable in city traffic. The long seat is very comfortable and can fit the rider and pillion with ease. The motorcycle handles rough portions of the road with ease thanks to the comfortable suspension.
Pricing
Honda has aggressively positioned the motorcycle and put the starting price at Rs. 65,000 (ex-showroom). The bike faces competition from the Hero HF Deluxe, Hero Splendor Plus, and Bajaj Platina, other 100cc commuter motorcycles.
Cons
Lacks Some Modern Feature
The new Honda Shine 100 lacks some modern features that today's motorbike buyers demand. It lacks some of the features that some competitors provide, such a digital instrument cluster, trip meter, USB charging port, Bluetooth, and others.

Braking Could've Been Better
If backed by a disc brake, the Honda Shine 100's braking performance may have been improved. However, none of the 100cc motorcycles have disc brakes, and all of them have somewhat flimsy brakes. The Honda Shine 100's brakes are backed by Combined Braking System (CBS), which provides additional help in the event of sudden braking.
