Some dealers have already opened up unofficial bookings for the Tata Gravitas. This comes at a time when Tata looks to prepare for its launches in 2021.
While Tata Motors is formally preparing itself to launch the Altroz Turbo on the second week of January if this news is anything to go by, there are strong chances that the Gravitas will be launched anytime between January end- February mid.
The Gravitas is expected to come with a host of features such as a panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment with apple carplay and android auto. It is also meant to be loaded in terms of safety features like its smaller sibling.

Powering the Gravitas is a 2-litre MultiJet Diesel unit that puts out 168 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. It is expected that this engine in the Gravitas will be mated to a 6 speed Manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic that is sourced from Hyundai and is currently plying its trade in the Harrier. It is expected that AWD won't be offered on this car.
The Gravitas is a very important upcoming for Tata Motors as they would be looking to capture the 7 seater SUV market with it. It is expected to go up against the upcoming 7 seater Hyundai Creta, 7 seater Jeep Compass, Next-gen Mahindra XUV5OO and the MG Hector Plus facelift.
The Gravitas is expected to start at around 915 lakhs ( ex-showroom) and top out at 925 lakhs ( ex-showroom). More details regarding the trim levels will be revealed closer to the launch but it would be fair to expect that they would be similar to those on the Harrier.

It must be noted that only some dealers have opened bookings for the Tata Gravitas and thus it would be better if you contact your nearest dealer if you intend to put in a deposit for booking the Gravitas.
