Claimed to be India's first intelligent electric moto-scooter, the eBikeGo Rugged electric scooter crossed a total of 1 lakh bookings in India. eBikeGo is currently India's largest electric two-wheeler mobility platform and announced the debut of the Rugged electric scooter earlier this year. With Rugged electric prices starting from INR 79,999 (ex-showroom) for the base model, the brand is all set to give tough competition to the rivals like Ola and Simple Energy. For starters, the Rugged Electric is available in two trim options that include G1 and G1+. While the G1 is priced at INR 79,999 (ex-showroom), the G1+ on the other hand is priced at INR 99,999 (ex-showroom). For those wondering, the FAME II subsidy is included in these ex-showroom prices. The brand is now taking pre-bookings on the official website with a refundable booking amount of INR 499.

Powering the Rugged Electric is a 3kW motor that helps the bike reach a top speed of 70km/h. This motor takes its juice from a replaceable dual 2kWh battery pack. With a 0-100 charging time of 3.5 hours, the scooter boasts a claimed range of 160 km on a single charge. To further improve the riding experience and performance, the scooter uses 12 built-in smart sensors. The Made in India scooter also gets India's first indigenously built hub motor. the bike is also claimed to be the toughest electric vehicle ever constructed for Indian roads and boasts a 7-year warranty on the chassis.
On the features front, the eBikeGo Rugged electric scooter gets a number of bells and whistles. To start with, the bike gets connected technology the owners can access all the information using the RUGGED APP on their smartphone. The Rugged electric scooter also gets an anti-theft feature that ensures safety of the rider in case of an accident or an incident. The in-built artificial intelligence-driven fleet management system and EBG Matics (eBikeGo's patented IoT technology) helps in B2B and B2C operations.

The Rugged Electric scooter is also the first electric bike in the world that allows battery switching without the user getting off the bike. Furthermore, it gets 4G, BLE, CAN bus, GPS/IRNSS, 42 Inputs/Outputs, serial ports and a comprehensive modular sensor suite. The bike gets cradle chassis with steel on the outside that helps it handle extreme usage. The theft prevention bolts and clamps keep the expensive components safe and protected from vandalism.
