We all love driving on open highways as they allow us to cruise at a decent speed and also helps us in reaching from point A to point B. And mostly the journeys on highways are interrupted with the long queue at the toll tax barriers.

Highway toll tax is taken by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) which is controlled by Government of India. The tax collected gives people a congestion free and a smooth road to reach their destination in a short amount of time.

Now, coming to the toll taxes collected at the highways and the long queue people have to suffer! The Government of India has provided with a one time solution to avoid the queue and continuing your journey hassle free with the use of a Fastag.

Basically, FASTag is a reloadable tag which allows an automatic deduction of the toll amount which carries out a cashless transaction. The tag is valid for one vehicle only and has to be recharged to carry out the process.

This tag uses a Radio Frequency Identification technology which helps in paying toll taxes while the vehicle is in motion. It is placed at the windscreen of your vehicle from where the sensor reads out the tag and the payment is done.
