Fisker Inc EV maker has announced that it will establish its HQ in India at Hyderabad. The new HQ will help in new product development in the EV sector.
The profound EV maker Fisker Inc has announced that it is setting up headquarters in India. The space allocation has already been decided and Hyderabad is the deemed location for its upcoming R&D plant.
There were rumors years ago that Fisker Inc is readying itself to step into the Indian market. While the rumors persisted, there was no visible evidence of Fisker Inc's interest in India. With a total global staff of 450 employees, Fisker has now decided to increase this count up to 800 by the end of the year 2022. This expansion drive will go through India as specified by the company officials.

The HQ in Hyderabad will focus on software development, embedded electronics, virtual vehicle development support, data analytics, and machine learning. This headquarter will work in coordination with Fisker's USA main office and product development department.
According to the official statement by Fisker, it has especially targeted the Indian tech pool and it is well aware of the technical talent available in India. To expand, Fisker Inc has accepted that Indian talent is its only way to make new and better EV products. Talking of products, Fisker's Ocean EV SUV is all set to step into production by 17th November 2022. This will be done via the support of Tier-1 supplier Magna. In the Sports variant, the Ocean SUV will be able to achieve a claimed driving range of up to 402 km (EPA cycle) or 440 km (WLTP cycle). Fisker Ocean will feature interiors made completely from recycled materials.

Fisker Ocean platform will also expand in the future via the addition of newer models. This addition will help Fisker Inc to expand on global levels. With their new office being set up in India and more than 200 employees hired from India; we expect that Fisker must be considering the Indian EV market after reading about the potential of EVs in India. Sooner or later, Fisker will introduce its products in India as well. Fisker is also working on the PEAR platform which will also make its debut in India later.
