The Ford Endeavour is the best full sized SUV out there in the market and for 2020, the BS6 model has undergone a major change. Out go the earlier 3.2 and 2.2 litre engines and in comes a new, smaller 2.0 unit. There is no replacement for displacement and this in turn has raised quite a few eye brows when it comes to the performance parameter for the Ford Endeavour BS6 model. We decided to do an acceleration, capture it on cam and share it with you guys to show how capable this new model really is. Hit the play button!
As seen in the video, the big Endy, with the smaller 2.0 unit still performs exceptionally well. This is down to the new 10-speed automatic that allows for clever gear ratios and in these in turn keep the engine spinning in the meat of the power band when you want to go flat out. Do note that the timings shown above are for the speedometer indicated speeds. For actual or true 0-60, 0-100, 0-140 runs, add in some extra time. Even then, outright performance remains very good!
The new Ford Endeavour BS6 is more affordable than the outgoing version while yet offering more features that include the Ford Pass set-up and new LED headlamps. The engine is more efficient and though prices will go up from 1st May. Even then, it remains cheaper than its main rival, the Toyota Fortuner BS6 diesel. The Endeavour also offers a better ride, is as capable off the road and offers lower maintenance costs in terms of scheduled servicing.
