From April 1st, Maruti is all set to rise the price of its lineup, as inferred through a regulatory filing by the company. It requires real-time emission monitoring which requires additional adjustments. The magnitude of this hike is still a mystery and will be revealed soon. Maruti Baleno, Brezza, Swift, and all other vehicles are set to bear the burden of this updated pricing

Maruti Baleno, Brezza, and Other Maruti's Getting Expensive
According to the company, efforts are being made to keep the prices in check, but inflation has added to the rising cost of production. Plus, the regulatory orders require additional work on the engine and safety. This is inferred by the statements given by Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director For Marketing, and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
What's interesting is that the price has been hiked 7 times since January 2021 in small quantum. This is done to avoid one big single hike, which has been the case with all other manufacturers as well.
What About Other Car Companies
The upcoming RDE norms and inflation is a hit to every car manufacturer. Other makers like Honda, Tata Motors, and Hero Motocorp have already conveyed their price revisions from April 1, 2023. The lineup is also updated to meet the stricter emission norms.
VERDICT- With the rising inflation and regulatory mandates, a price hike is something that was already on the horizon. Not only Maruti Suzuki but also all other car makers are revising their price lists. If you are looking to take home a car, this might be the time to avoid more burden on your pockets.
