Gogoro 2 & 2 Plus - Details
Speaking of the e-scooters, Gogoro has designed both of them with futuristic styling. The use of rectangular and straight lines is quite evident all over its body. Additionally, the use of minimalistic body panels makes them look even more distinguishing. All thanks to the utility-based design elements, both of the e-scooters offer a lot. In terms of design and features; both of these scooters are similar. Gogoro has equipped them with an LED headlight, an LED taillight, & a fully digital instrument console. Features like Bluetooth connectivity & access to the phone as well as maps are also provided. Gogoro also offers swappable battery packs on both of the models.
Gogoro has also equipped it with machined alloy wheels and disc brakes at both ends. Additionally, regenerative braking and reverse parking assist gear are also provided on both e-scooters. As seen in the type-approval documents, Gogoro will launch two models. One is called Gogoro 2 & the other is a low-spec called Gogoro 2 Plus. However, both of these models use the same battery pack. The first variant is stated to give a claimed range of 94 km per charge. Meanwhile, the latter variant will get 85 km of claimed riding range per charge. The gross vehicle weight of both of the models will be 273 kg. Additionally, both models can achieve a top speed of 87 kmph.
Verdict
Gogoro is ready to evade the ever-growing EV market in India. Additionally, to boost its sales, the company will also set up fast-charging stations soon. However, we're not sure when these two new e-scooters will get launched in India. But, it will not be anytime before the second half of this year before we get to see both of these models. The expected price of these will range from Rs 1-1.5 lakh. Its main rivals in India will be Ola S1 Air & TVS iQube.
