Greaves Electric Mobility, a division of Greaves Cotton Limited, has partnered with Mesha Energy Solutions, a Bengaluru-based energy storage company. Mesha Energy is a completely owned subsidiary of Mesha Inc., which is headquartered in the United States. Greaves Electric aims to advance battery technology throughout its range and increase its reach with this agreement.

Ram Rajappa, Greaves Electric Mobility's Chief Technology Officer, said, "Battery is an integral part of EV and this association with the company is part of our strategy to create an enabling and robust EV ecosystem. Moreover, to deliver on our promise to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in India, our partnership with Mesha will help in delivering higher performance with advanced battery technology solutions to not only our customers in India but across the globe and strengthen our leadership position in EV."
Mesha Energy Solutions provides patented solutions for fast charging and longer cycle life for any chemistry. Mesha's technology, according to a joint statement, provides two times quicker charging, allowing for a trip with less intrusion and more comfort for the consumer. Mesha also has an inbuilt charge balancer, which ensures that the batteries are fully charged and operating at their best.

Kannankote Sriram, the founder of Mesha, Inc. and a board member of Mesha Energy Solution, commented on the relationship, "Our goal is to create technologies to address the issues that are currently faced by batteries such as handling high power requirements, accepting high charging currents and improving the lifecycle for deep discharge applications. The solutions that we offer are battery agnostic and enhance the performance of conventional batteries. Greaves Electric Mobility has taken a number of steps in recent months to help the country's EV expansion. The company bought electric three-wheeler company Bestway, which makes e-rickshaws, and electric autorickshaw company MLR Auto, and opened a multi-brand EV retail store called AutoEVmart. It also opened an EV factory in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu, and established in-house financing for electric vehicles through NBFC Greaves Finance.
