Harley Davidson has tied up with Hero MotoCorp for distribution rights of its motorcycles for sale in India. Give this article a read to know more!
Motorcycles are the true characteristics of youthfulness that showcase freedom and power in the most viable form and so, the 117-year-old iconic motorcycle brand, Harley-Davidson has become an expression of freedom for the young blood.
Harley Davidson India had commenced its operation in August 2009 and ever since then, the motorcycles from this brand have remained a trendsetter. It remained the life and soul of motorcycle culture in India until the brand shut down in 2020.
However, good news is on your way as Harley-Davidson is coming back stronger than ever. The company has announced that around 100 Harley-Davidson bikes which fall in the first batch assigned to the Indian market have already completed pre-bookings.
The booking for 13 different models of the Harley-Davidson that are approximately priced between Rs.10 lakh and Rs.35Lakh ex-showroom were commenced in April 2021.

"The company has received bookings for more than 100 motorcycles already, including a complete lot of the upcoming Pan America 1250 adventure motorcycles. The other models include the likes of Softail, Fat Bob, and Street Bob motorcycles," an industry source was quoted by news agency PTI.
As per the licensing agreement, Harley-Davidson Motorcycles has tied up with Hero MotoCorp for distribution rights of motorcycles to be sold in India. As per the recent reports, Hero MotoCorp now has 12 Harley-Davidson dealers across India and exclusive distribution rights of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, parts and merchandise in India.
"We will be soon making an announcement on the commencement of the retail sales of Pan America 1250 in the country. We will share further details at that time," a Hero MotoCorp spokesperson was quoted by PTI.
Hero MotoCorp is in the anticipation that the tie-up with Harley-Davidson could help accelerate the brand's presence in the premium motorcycle segment. Hero MotoCorp aims to establish a portfolio of premium bikes with the new agreement.
