Electric cars are now slowly becoming popular and enjoy strong demand in the market. The buyers however are often seen complaining as these electric cars are extremely expensive to buy. Amidst all this, a new brand called the New Energy Wagon has promised to launch the cheapest electric car in India soon. To be called the New Energy Mini, this car will offer a comfortable cabin for four and will boast an extremely compact footprint, thus being a great alternative for those looking for a city-only electric car. Here are all the details that you should check out about this upcoming electric car in India in 2022.
The New Energy Mini will get a rear-wheel mounted motor that will be powered by a 72 Wh battery pack. The car will boast a top speed of 85 kmph and the drivers will get three different driving modes to alter the performance and range of the vehicle. On a single charge, this car is said to offer a range of around 150 km while charging the batteries will take around 6-7 hours.

The New Energy Mini will be available in five colour options that include blue, red, white, grey, and black. The car does flaunt a quirky styling and the compact footprint makes it an excellent city car. More details are however yet to be known. The Tamil Nadu based manufacturer claims that it plans to sell over 2500 units of the New Energy Mini in 2022 and will be launching the car soon.
The cabin of the New Energy Mini also boasts a decently spacious cabin and many other features like a touchscreen infotainment system. The price of the New Energy Mini is expected to start from INR 4-5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the brand might introduce this car in the Indian market by mid-2022.
