Hero, Ather Unveil Joint Effort To Strengthen Electric Vehicle Charging Network

India's electric vehicle (EV) charging landscape is poised for rapid expansion following the recent approval by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) of the Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS). This marks a significant milestone as it is India's first domestically developed standard for AC and DC combined charging connectors specifically designed for light electric vehicles. Notably, both Hero and Ather are gearing up to capitalize on this development to better serve their customer base.
For Hero and Ather electric two-wheeler users, the approval of LECCS means they can now easily locate nearby charging stations that are compatible with their respective vehicles. This enhanced convenience is facilitated through the 'My Vida' and Ather smartphone applications. These applications empower EV users to not only identify the nearest charging points but also to check the availability of these stations in real time. Additionally, users can use the applications to navigate to the charging station hassle-free.
