Log9s InstaCharge RapidX Batteries Should Make Hero Electric models the fastest-charging e-scooters in the country
Hero Electric has announced its partnership with Log9, a Bengaluru-based advanced battery technology start-up. With this, the EV-maker will be provided with InstaCharging battery packs for its entire range of electric scooters. With this, the EVs will benefit from a short charging time of less than 15 minutes as Log9 has made use of its expertise to come up with batteries that offer 9x faster charging, 9x better performance, 9x lower battery degradation and 9x battery life.

The new age batteries will be offered by Hero Electric through the retail of electric scooters and even through the battery-as-a-service that made its market debut on the Bounce Infinity E1. The latter should help commercial fleet operators to reduce downtime to great extent, thereby boosting the operational performance. It must be noted here that the RapidX batteries from Log9 have already been tested by many B2B fleet operators, including Shadowfax, Flipkart, Amazon, Delhivery, etc.

Speaking on the announcement of this collaboration, Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric, said, Unlike Petrol, the charge on a E2W is limited, leading to shorter driving range. In the year 2019, we launched bikes with an option of doubling the range. All our bikes also have easily removable batteries and many of our customers are now charging their portable batteries while at workplace or in their apartments. Some of the B2B businesses however wanted to run the bikes continuously for longer hours with a minimal interruption in their delivery operations. It is for such customers that we now offer bikes with the Log9 batteries that can be fast charged while the driver is having his cup of tea. This game-changing association will maximise the returns on the logistics operations of these B2B businesses.

The RapidX battery packs from Log9 can operate at a temperature of -30 degrees to 60 degrees Celsius, which means they can be used in varied climatic conditions. Also, these batteries have a claimed operational life of more than 10 years and have been built with fire-resistant safety features.
