With electric powertrains taking over the internal combustion engines in India, we are indeed on a path of deviating towards the more eco friendly domain. Hero Electric is one of the largest electric two wheeler companies in India who plans to introduce Electric Vehicle charging stations as a joint venture with BOLT across the country.
BOLT has set up India's largest and most robust charging station network and now Hero Electric and BOLT would be partnering so as to set up fifty thousand electric vehicle charging stations in India in the next year. BOLT will install more than 750 touch points across the country which would cater to the needs of more than 4.5 lakh customers. Alongside the public chargers, around two thousand Hero Electric customers would be able to avail the benefit of setting up BOLT electric charging units at their home free of charge. This move would facilitate to compete with the increasing fuel prices and boost EV adoption in India.
This joint venture would concentrate on providing affordable charging solutions with a robust and accessible electric charging network infrastructure across India. BOLT is actively working to eliminate range anxiety among customers as this has proven to be one of the most challenging situations for every electric vehicle rider in the real world. With this mission of promoting non-polluting mobility, almost all electric vehicle manufacturers are trying their best to broaden their expertise in developing efficient powertrains.

So as to make transactions and charging procedures a matter of a few seconds, BOLT will now be integrating its interface within the Hero Electric App as well as their website. this smart integration wiped prove to be a boon as the app and website would become a one stop solution to locate charging stations, book a charging slot and pay for the battery juice. BOLt is a hardware cum software development giant in India and is currently working to integrate payments with seamless options like NFC or RFID which would bring a FASTag type experience to the end user.
After the installation of these chargers, the customers would be able to choose between the type of charging operation, be it private or public, and decide for the price depending upon the coexisting tariffs. Hero Electric would soon introduce a subscription based system to ease the usage of Hero Electric vehicles as well as BOLT chargers.
