Hero Hurikan & Hurikan 440
A few weeks ago, two new Hero Motocorp motorcycles were sighted in Ladakh. One of these bikes featured the same engine crank case as the Harley Davidson X440. At the time of the sighting, speculation leaned towards it being the Xtreme 440. However, with the recent trademark filing, it's now likely to be named the 'Hurikan 440.' In addition to the 440cc test mule, a smaller 210cc capacity test bike was also spotted on an adventure motorcycle, initially presumed to be the Xpulse 210. Now, we can anticipate that it might bear the moniker Hurikan.
The test prototype of the larger motorcycle, which is anticipated to share its engine with the X440, exudes a robust and muscular appearance. It was observed with a ow slung front profile , equipped with USD forks, and a monoshock absorber at the rear. In contrast, the other test bike seen with design elements reminiscent of the Xpulse, including an LED headlamp, a sizeable front spoked wheel, and an elevated front mudguard.
The debut date for these Hero Motocorp models remains uncertain. However, if they are indeed equipped with the HD X440 engine, the motorcycle is expected to deliver 27 bhp of power and 38 Nm of peak torque, coupled with a 6-speed transmission.
