As 2020 is finally coming to an end and the fresh new year 2021 is about to arrive soon. Thus, with the arrival of the new calendar year, almost all the auto manufacturers are ready to increase the prices of their cars, motorcycles and scooters. Some carmakers like Maruti Suzuki, Kia Motors, Hyundai, Mahindra, etc. have already announced that they will be increasing the prices of all their cars from January 2021. Thus, now it's time for the two-wheeler manufacturers. So, Hero MotoCorp and Jawa Motorcycles have also announced that they will hike the price of all their motorcycles and scooters in January 2021.
Hero MotoCorp has recently announced that the company will increase the price of all its motorcycles and scooters in January 2021. The new prices will come into effect from January 1, 2021. The company in its official press release has stated that the upward price revision is a result of a steady rise in the commodity costs across the spectrum, including the steel, aluminium, plastics and other precious metals. Hero MotoCorp also said that as always it will continue to work on mitigating the impact, with the sole objective of reducing the burden on the customers and protect its margins. However, in order to partially offset the impact of the commodity costs, the company will be increasing the prices of all its two-wheelers by up to 1,500 rupees.

The price increase will vary across the model range, and the exact quantum will be communicated to the company's dealers in due course of time. Hero MotoCorp currently sells a total of 14 two-wheelers in India, out of which 4 are scooters and the rest 10 are motorcycles. At present, the most affordable Hero MotoCorp product in India is the Hero HF Deluxe and its price starts at Rs. 48,950. The company's flagship product is the Hero Xtreme 200S BS6 which is priced at Rs. 1.15 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. Now, talking about Jawa Motorcycles, so as per the latest media reports of NDTV CarandBike, the company will hike the price of all its motorcycles in early January 2021. Jawa Motorcycles will soon release an official statement too.

Jawa Motorcycles currently sells only three motorcycles in India. They are Jawa Forty-Two, Jawa Classic and Jawa Perak. At present, the Jawa Forty-Two BS6 is priced between Rs. 1.60 lakhs - Rs. 1.74 lakhs, Jawa Classic BS6 is priced between Rs. 1.73 lakhs - Rs. 1.83 lakhs and the flagship product Jawa Perak is priced at Rs. 1.94 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. So, this was all about the price hike of Hero MotoCorp and Jawa Motorcycles.
