Honda Activa E: Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India has unveiled two electric scooters, including the highly anticipated Active e and the Q1. The Active Electric gets two swappable batteries while the QC 1 is equipped with a fixed-type battery. The production of both these electric offerings will happen in India. Honda Activa E
The Honda Activa E uses the same chassis and frame as the ICE-powered Activa. The major changes are in the styling, which has drastically changed compared to the Activa. The Active e has a unique-looking apron incorporating LED headlights and turn indicators. Additionally, it gets an LED DRL positioned on the upper end of the scooter.
Regarding features, the Honda Activa E is equipped with two swappable batteries. The two batteries on offer power the electric motor that generates a maximum output of 8 bhp (4.2 kW). With this setup, the Activa e provides a range of 102 km/charge.
Honda QC1
HMSI has also unveiled the QC1 electric scooter today which will be an exclusive offering for India. The QC1 will be officially launched in the Q1 of 2025. In terms of design, the QC1 look similar to the Activa e which is apparent on the side profile, but the QC1 misses out on LED DRLs available with the Activa e. The real difference comes in the powertrain setup of the QC1. It gets a 1.5 kWh fixed-type battery pack that powers a 1.2 kWh motor, generating a maximum output of 2.4 bhp. This setup allows the QC1 to provide a range of 80 km/charge.
In terms of features, the QC1 gets a five-inch LCD instrument console that displays crucial ride-related information. Additionally, you also get a decent under-seat boot and a USB-type C socket.

Verdict
The Honda Activa E impresses with its practical swappable batteries and solid 102 km range, making it a strong contender for urban commutes. Meanwhile, the QC1 offers affordability but compromises on power and range. While both scooters maintain Honda's reliable appeal, the Activa E's advanced features and design make it the more future-ready choice for India's growing EV market.
