The first product to roll out in its EV avatar will most likely be the e-Activa, which is projected to launch somewhere next year (2025). Honda e-Activa
The Activa, the most reliable and popular scooter in India, will soon be electrified, and its batteries are expected to provide a range of around 100 km, with performance comparable to that of a 110cc engine. Additionally, the batteries used will be Honda Mobile Power Packs, which are swappable lithium-ion batteries created through a partnership between Honda and Panasonic.
So, when it is released, expect features like a digital screen, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation. Upon launch, it will do a head to head with TVS i-Qube, Ola S1 and Ather Rizta.
Multiple Battery Technology
New lithium-ion batteries, which will be more affordable, will be manufactured in Asia, and Honda states that they will be accessible in the market. Additionally, they want to dedicate the years 2026-2030 to global expansion and maintain their position, just as they have done for ICE vehicles.
