Honda 2Wheelers India has filed a new design patent, and it's for the NPF 125 scooter. The NPF will be based on the Honda Activa 125 but will be positioned as a sporty scooter and will compete against the TVS Ntorq 125, Xoom 125, and Avenis 125. Additionally, it will share all the features of the Activa, such as a front disc, TFT screen, Honda RoadSync app, and smart key. Honda NPF 125
Honda NPF 125 will be powered by the same 123.92cc engine taken from Honda Activa 125 that makes 8.31 ps and 10.5 Nm of torque. Plus, it is fair to assume that it will be already complaint with OBD-2B. To add more, this scooter will get an atheltic body, where the main LED light will be placed above the front mud-guard.
As it will be different from the Activa, Honda might launch it with stiffer suspensions. The features would also be similar, such as a 4.2-inch TFT screen, which includes the Honda RoadSync app, and a front disc brake. Moreover, the wheel size will be 12 inches at the front and 10 inches at the rear, with telescopic suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear.

Verdict
While Honda has patented the NPF 125 in India, they might or might not launch it, as they already have two 125cc scooters on sale - the Activa 125 and Dio 125. To emphasize this further, the NPF 125 might not offer anything special in terms of dynamics or features, as the aforementioned scooters already provide those. Let's wait and see when, or if, any new developments take place in this area.
