Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched its most affordable motorcycle the Honda Shine 100. The Honda Shine 100 comes with an all-new OBD-2 compliant 100cc engine, which is expected to offer good fuel efficiency and low maintenance costs. The introductory price of Rs 64,900 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) makes it an attractive option for customers looking for an affordable motorcycle. The new motorcycle from Honda is now available for bookings, and production will begin the following month. In May 2023, the brand will begin the deliveries.

Honda Shine 100 - Design & Features
The new Shine 100 is inspired from its bigger sibling the Shine 125. It gets a new diamond frame developed specifically for this bike. It comes with a seat height of 786mm, a wheelbase of 1,245 mm and ground clearance of 168mm. With these dimensions the bike can easily take on urban and rural roads. It also gets a black headlamp cowl, all black alloy wheels, blackened engine casing, aluminium grab rail, chrome exhaust muffler cover and other elements.
On the features front, it gets analogue instrument cluster, halogen headlamp, indicators and tail lamp, side stand inhibitor, drum brakes on both wheels with combined braking system among other features. The new Honda motorcycle is available in 5 colour options which include Black with Red Stripes, Black with Blue Stripes, Black with Green Stripes, Black with Gold Stripes and Black with Grey Stripes

Honda Shine 100 - Engine Specifications
The brand-new Honda Shine 100 is propelled by a 99.7cc engine that is completely new and has a maximum output of 8.05 Nm and 7.6 bhp of power. The new engine is prepared for E20 fuel and OBD-2 compliance.
Verdict: The brand-new Honda Shine 100 will face competition from well-known bikes in its category like the Hero HF Deluxe, Hero Splendor Plus, and Bajaj Platina. The Hero Splendor is the leader in the 100cc market, but the new Shine 100 will give the Splendor a tough competition. Honda has strategically managed the price, and the lower pricing will help them attract more customers.
