'100 pe 100' Honda Shine 100 Scheme Details
Honda launched its most affordable commuter bike in India back in March. The Shine 100 is based on the looks of the Shine 125 but with a more efficient engine. In order to beat the segment king Hero Splendor Xtec, Shine's 100cc version is launched. Now, HMSI has debuted it in the state of Rajasthan as well. But, the launch price in Rajasthan has been kept lower. The bike is currently priced at Rs 2,000 less i.e. Rs 62,900 only.
Additionally, to lure Splendor customers, Honda is offering a '100 pe 100' scheme. As per this scheme, customers can get a warranty of up to 10 years. With the standard 3 years warranty, customers can opt for additional time of up to 7 years more. This time period extension, obviously, comes at a price. Speaking of the other amenities, Honda is offering benefits like Zero Documentation Charges, No Advance EMIs, & a Processing fee of only Rs 1.
The Shine 100 is based on the Shine 125. It looks basic and offers minimal features. The main strength of the Shine 100 is its minimal price tag and a reliable 99.98cc single-cylinder engine. This engine makes a peak power of 7.24 bhp & a peak torque of 8.05 Nm.
Verdict
The commuter segment of bikes in India is one of the toughest segments. It is currently ruled by Hero proficiently. However, Honda has plans to break the sales and fetch benefits from this segment. Hence, Shine 100 is being pushed with additional benefits in states like Rajasthan where the 100cc bike sales are high.
